With Illinois set to enter Phase 5 of “Restore Illinois” on Friday, June 11, 2021, James Kilmer will lift mask requirements in the common areas of both buildings. for those fully vaccinated. The State of Illinois has issued guidance in order to have a uniform understanding.
So what does this mean for all of us at James Kilmer and what should we expect to see change? We should all expect to see people without masks and people with masks in the common hallways and elevators, roof deck, lobbies, and other locations within our Association.
We will also see a reopening of amenities that had previously been closed due to COViD-19, such as the Fitness Center, Hospitality Rooms and Management Office – we have already opened the Roof Deck and happy to see residents enjoying the sun from great heights!
Some things that may not change right away will be the face shields at the door staff stations at both James House and Kilmer House. Also, we want you to feel comfortable in knowing that if you have a work order where maintenance will enter your home, we are happy to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status; all you have to do is note that you would like to see this practice before entering your unit in the initial request or when the staff arrives at your door. All staff are required to carry a mask as part of their uniform.
We hope that everyone stays safe and does what is necessary to protect themselves – COViD-FREE. We hope this for our own at JK and for our neighbors out in the world.

SUMMARY OF HOA BOARD MEETING, 6/7/21:
Pool forms were approved last night, FFC and HOA Management are working out the fine details of the forms and should have them ready to be sent out this week.
We are scheduled to open Tuesday, July 6th – Sunday, October 3rd. There are no early bird specials and no increase in fees. The cost will be the 2019/2020 regular membership fees (prices will be listed out on the membership form).
As of right now, FFC cannot accommodate hosting an in-person/in lobby registration process (like years before) so all registration will be done online or at the FFC location, 1235 N. LaSalle.
