Dear JK Residents,

Selfishly, it is with a heavy heart that we must say farewell to Karen Meadors, one of our Receiving Room Specialists, as she heads off into the happy days of retirement. We are thrilled for Karen and hope that she takes time to enjoy the fruits of her decades of labor.

Karen has been a part of JK for the past 6 years and although she will be leaving us, her spirit and smile will remain an embedded part of our Association for years to come. Karen will now have plenty of time to spend enjoying family and friends.

If you have a memory that you would like to share or even a kind word for Karen, please feel free to leave a note in the comments – I know Karen would love to hear from you!

Here’s wishing you a wonderful retirement and good health for years to come! Retirement is great! More time to visit with family and friends; time to take on some new hobbies; time to read; and just time to sit and stare out the window! Enjoy it all. Thank you for all you’ve done for us here at JK.

Karen, all my best as you start this new Journey. You will certainly be missed by all of us. You always had a smile and a welcoming ‘hello’ either downstairs or at my door…and always worked so hard until the job was done. I used to yell at you when you brought a package up to me at 3:00 on a Saturday and told you to go home. 😊 Take time to enjoy this next phase in your life. Stay well and know that we all loved having you in our lives for awhile.

    Karen,
Have a wonderful retirement. I’ve been living in this condo alone for 21 years, because when my husband died 23 years ago, I had to sell our home. You’ve been great in this condo!
I’m a professional writer and my novel, BEYOND THE GREEN by me, Francine Pappadis Friedman, is published on Amazon. And Rick Kogan from the Chicago Tribune read it and said my novel is a fine piece of writing and he told me to put his quote on my novel’s back cover, so I did. My novel’s characters are of a different age, race, religion, and nationality, but they meet for the first time in my novel and many of them stay together with each other. If you’d like to read my novel you can order it on Amazon, and even though it’s 46 chapters and 375 pages, it only costs $18.95.
Now that you are retired, a have a wonderful time!
    Best to you,
    Francine Pappadis Friedman
