Happy Thursday to all the fine folks at James Kilmer!
Just wanted to send a note out regarding a couple of hot topics (future PUN fully intended) on a Thursday afternoon…

Well, the fall season started less than a week ago and we are already whipping out the second layers, a sweater, hot chocolate and prepared for the seasonal change…
Typically, we would turn the heat/boilers on at a later date as once we do the cross over, there is no turning back – at least not until spring. This year, we have our new system being prepared for the colder months and the fire-up date is October 7th.
Please know that we may still see a change later in October which can bring warmer temps and that may cause you to dial your fan coil units down or even off – just the way it is and I know you are all aware of this twice-annual challenge, but a little reminder never hurts.
So until next week, stay warm, cool, comfortable – whatever your body requires – heat is a coming!

Election time is upon us and this year we will once again be a polling place on November 3rd.
We will see the usual voting equipment and election people, however, with our current health challenges additional personal protection equipment (PPE) will be at the ready, as well as extra sanitizing staff ensuring we are as safe as can be.
For specific details about early voting or what the Cook County Board of Elections will be doing on their end please visit their website for more information.
***SHAMELESS PLUG BELOW – LOOK OUT***
I wanted to piggy-back on the national elections with something a bit more local… like really local!
Interested in finding out all the fascinating, behind-the-scenes, inter-workings of the machine known as James Kilmer Condominium Association? Are you an owner?? Are you committed to becoming a great steward of this fine association??? Well look no further and sign-up to run for the Board of Directors – there is still time to throw your hat in the race; all applications are due in to the management office (drop off at the Kilmer or James management mailboxes in lieu of in-person is perfectly acceptable) by Tuesday, October 6th at 10am sharp! If you need an application, please contact Nichelle McFarlin in the management office for more info.
