Happy Friday, JK’rs!!!
Just a couple points to breeze through before the weekend… hope you make it a great one!
Stand UP and Be Counted!
The U.S. Census Bureau is looking for you – don’t forget to fill out those forms. It only takes a minute or three, but it is so important… Ald. Hopkins had a nice message emailed about the process and relevance… check it out:
A Message From Alderman Hopkins: Take The 2020 Census
Have you completed the 2020 census? The deadline to submit your response is Wednesday, September 30, 2020 – less than two weeks away!
Filling out the census takes less than 10 minutes, and your answers are confidential. Your response will help:
- Direct billions of dollars in federal funds to local communities for crucial public services like healthcare, education, and infrastructure
- Determine the number of seats Illinois has in Congress
- Ensure equitable representation at all levels of government when political districts are redrawn
Your neighbors are counting on you to make sure Chicago receives its fair share of Federal funding and representation. Fill out the 2020 census today at my2020census.gov.
Alderman, 2nd Ward
Balcony Lights… please, please, please help us out. The Building Rules are clear on the dates in which balcony lighting can be illuminated. We have noticed a few residents getting a head start on the season, and want to implore you to keep it dark until the timing is right.
Those violation letters use a ton of paper and if you stay within the accepted dates for brightening your outdoor space, you will actually be helping save trees – no lighting = no printed notes to turn ’em off = happier trees. More trees = cleaner air and prettier outdoors. Everyone wins!
HUGE TREE-HUG for helping out=)
The Board of Directors will hold their regular Board Meeting for September 2020 this coming Tuesday at 7:00pm via Zoom. All owners are welcome to attend. Hope to (e)see you there!
Zoom information sent under separate notice… this is just a friendly reminder.
Have a fantastic weekend!!!
