You know what they say about rainy days and Mondays…
No fears, even though there is a bit of the damp in our forecast, lets look on the bright side – the grass will be green again and with a chill in the air, what better time to curl up with a warm blanket, good book (most likely Netflix for me) and a hot cup of coffee or tea… maybe even a little dew of the vine, as they say!
Whatever you do this weekend, we hope you get to relax and let it all go for a few days.
Just a couple of points worth mentioning for our Friday round-up:

Speaking of water… how clean is our drinking water, you may be wondering?
Having grown up on the sparkling offerings of Lake Michigan, I have always felt lucky to have an abundance of clean drinking water, but never really knew just how good it was – at least not until I started my career in facilities management.
Nowadays, and with ever-growing concern for a healthy environment, the purity of our water supply is at the forefront of every community, great and small, and our operations at James Kilmer are certainly no exception! Peter, our Chief Engineer, has our water tested monthly by an outside agency to ensure what we are providing is the best it can be, and we continue to maintain a high-level of H2O cleanliness.
So the next time you find yourself having a refreshing glass of vatten (Swedish for water) or filling a cup with ice for your favorite adult beverage, you can do so with the utmost confidence that someone is looking out for your health. Skål!

We are knee deep in budget season, here at JK… with all of the challenges faced in 2020 the Finance Committee and Management Team are busy assessing all things related to owner assessments and maintaining our Association.
The Committee will be meeting again next week (Thursday, September 17th) to go over the first draft of the 2021 Proposed Budget. The meeting will be held via Zoom and all owners are welcome to attend – a separate notice will go out at the beginning of next week with all of the pertinent (e)details.
Given the amount of effort that goes into this part of our lives, we ask that if you need assistance from the Management Office to check the contact list in the link an reach out to the proper person to assist with your requests – we will help in any way we can!
OK, now where did I put my abacus <———————– I actually have one from grade school… yes, I am a BIG nerd =)

Just a few random thoughts to keep everyone up-to-date…
- The Fountain is in the process of being repaired by HOA. They are expecting a couple more weeks on a lighting order to come in and be installed; the pumps are being worked on as it does take some tweaking when they have not been run for a year or so… hang in there, the glorious agua show will return before the season is over!
- James House LL Entrance is open and just in time before the inclement weather begins. So if you were still wondering, wonder no more… oh, and wow, that LL hallway looks fantastic with its new paint job, baseboard and high-gloss floors – it may look like glass, but it is really that same tile… our maintenance crew are miracle workers!
- Regular Board Meeting – the next regular Board meeting will take place on September 22nd at 7:00pm (on Zoom). If you have any questions for the Board, please send them along to the management office in advance of the meeting; all will be addressed in lieu of the open forum session.
- Elevators and Loading Dock – don’t forget to contact Kathy in the office for all of your elevator and loading dock needs – we want to take care of you as best we can, so drop Kathy a note, email or call – she is really nice and amazing at coordinating such a busy association!
