A quick update about the ongoing construction in front of James House at the fountain area…

The crews are near completion and with just two short weeks left, there are a couple phases left which we wanted you to be aware of as they will impact the flow of foot and vehicle traffic.

Beginning Monday, August 24th, concrete will be going in to back fill smaller sections at the curbs and fountain platform – this will be a small part of the morning, but we wanted to let you know what to expect.

On Tuesday, the crews will begin to repair/replace sections of asphalt at the garage driveways. We know that this can cause challenges so appropriate measures have been taken in order to ensure your safety and ease of entrance and egress to the garage – the garage will not close during this phase – so we have added extra garage hikers to direct the flow in, out and around this area… please take it slow and be safe.

Last part of the update is we have a tentative date to reopen the lower level to James House from the garage; we are looking at Friday, September 4th for things to be back to normal. There may still be some minor punch-list items being tended to, but nothing that will cause us to close down again.
